ezyVet is cloud-based practice management software owned by IDEXX. Its clinical templates and treatment sheets add charges to the invoice as the team works, and it ties closely into IDEXX diagnostics: VetConnect PLUS results and Web PACS images land in the patient record. ezyVet serves general practice, specialty and emergency hospitals, new clinics, corporate groups, universities and mobile and large animal practices.
ezyVet publishes a starting price, which is rare in this category: one plan with every feature, from $260.50 a month. Online booking is built in through its Customer Portal, which your clinic links from its website, so clients can book or request appointments against your own rules. The portal also handles remote consent forms and online invoice payments. Reminders are built in. Two-way texting comes through Vello, IDEXX’s separate communication platform, and card processing through PayJunction in the US.
What to ask ezyVet
- The $260.50 a month is a starting point. Ask for the monthly total for your number of locations and users, and what implementation and data conversion cost, since those are quoted separately.
- The first term is a year and renews automatically each year. Ask what notice you need to give.
- If you want texting, add Vello’s cost, or check whether a partner like Weave or PetDesk fits better.
- Ask which data converts from your current system. ezyVet says some custom fields and old templates may not carry over one to one.

Labs and diagnostics
IDEXX is the deepest connection: VetConnect PLUS brings IDEXX reference lab and in-house analyzer results into the record in real time with automatic charge capture, and IDEXX Web PACS links x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI and dental images to the record. Certified US lab partners include Antech (reference and in-house), Zoetis (reference labs and VETSCAN point-of-care), Moichor, Midwest Veterinary Lab, Vetek Labs, MicroVet, National Bio Vet Lab and Bionote. Imaging partners include Sound (Antech), Asteris, Vet Rocket and Heska.source
Moving your data
ezyVet's implementation team converts clients, suppliers, patients, medical history, invoices, and purchase and inventory orders from the old system, with a trial conversion the clinic reviews before go-live and a final conversion overnight before launch. Some data (certain custom fields, legacy templates) may not convert one-to-one. Onboarding is typically a 12-week project, followed by about three weeks of wrap-up.source
Support and training
Unlimited 24/7 support by phone, email and in-product help is included in the monthly price, plus tickets, a Knowledge Centre and a status page. Each implementation has a Project Manager, Implementation Specialist and Software Trainer; staff train by role in a sandbox, and most practices train and go live remotely (onsite is available). ezyVet Academy is free afterward. Training cost is folded into the scoped implementation, which is not published.source

Vello (IDEXX, sold as ezyVet's integrated communications) adds online scheduling on the live ezyVet calendar. ezyVet sends the invoice amount to a partner card terminal or remote payment method and records the result, but the processing itself is a partner's: PayJunction (US: in-person, online and remote payments, cards on file) or Windcave (AU, CA, NZ, UK). For the website side, the Customer Portal can take PayPal deposits and pre-payments (2020 blog), and Digital Practice sends payment links. CareCredit financing is a payment method in ezyVet.
